About The Voice Africa

The Voice Africa’ will be a suspense filled Pan-African TV music reality show where the winner is determined by viewers voting via different channels.

It is expected that the show will attract over 100,000 vocalists from across Africa and will be broadcast to an audience of exceeding 100m viewers/listeners on cable TV, Free-To-Air YouTube, and Airtel TV across the continent.

Season one will be more than a reality talent show. It will be an experience.

A combination of broadcast and live interactions producing an experiential melt that is life changing and inspirational to both contestants and viewers.

In partnership with Airtel as the title sponsor, The Voice Africa, presents a series of interactive touch points with a target group that represents Africa’s growth sector with an experiential outreach that is an embodiment of Airtel brand values.

The Voice Africa Season 1 is open to individuals from selected African countries who are above 18 years old and have lived in their countries for 12 consecutive months prior to registration. 

Talents from these countries can take part:

• Nigeria
• Niger
• Zambia
• Kenya
• Tanzania
• Malawi
• Madagascar
• Seychelles
• Democratic Republic of the Congo
• Chad
• Rwanda
• Gabon
• Uganda 

The Voice Africa will be filmed in Nigeria but will be streamed on FTA and paid channels of the 14 African countries. 

The Voice Africa Winner Prizes 

The winner of The Voice Africa Season 1 will receive USD$100,000 and a recording contract.

Each of the seven selected participants from each country will also be rewarded USD$5,000 and some Airtel goodies.

The four (4) stages of The Voice Africa Season 1 include:

• Knockouts
• Live Shows

The Voice Africa Registration Requirements 

Valid travel documents, including an international passport, and an active Airtel number are required to register for The Voice Africa.

Steps to Apply and Audition for The Voice Africa 

• To apply, follow the entry link.
• Click on the “Submit Entry” button.
• Fill in the form that opens with your personal details.
• Agree to the terms and conditions.
• Agree to the eligibility requirements.
• Tick the box at the page buttom to signify your consent.
• Click the “Register” button at the bottom of the page.
• Get your contestant number.
• Upload a 1-minute video singing (Do not tune your voice or use background instrument).

Registration begins on 19^th October and closes on 6^th November.

Intended talents are to send in their entries online.

Shortlisted talents will be invited to a live audition, which will take place in each of the 14 countries.

If you are auditioning as a duo or trio, register individually first.

After registration is completed, a member of your group will then sign in and add you and the other members to his/her profile as a band.

If your online registration is successful, you will receive a message confirming receipt of your application.

It is important that you provide your Airtel mobile number and email address to contact you.

All applications will be processed and, if shortlisted for the blind audition, you will receive an audition invitation with details.
