Check and Print NYSC Call-Up Number Online [Batch B 2024]

Do you want to know about the NYSC call-up number on certificate meaning, sample, example, format, and how to check online?

If YES, then this is the only post to read.

Getting started…

NYSC Call-Up Number

The NYSC call-up number is a unique identification number that is assigned to you after you complete your NYSC registration online.

This is because there are thousands of corps members who serve every year, and it is highly probable that two or more people may have the same surname and names.

However, your call-up number is unique to you and no one else will have the same number.

The NYSC call-up number is a six-digit number that is formatted as: NYSC/[Acronym of University or Polytechnic]/[Year of Service]/[Serial number].

The call-up number comprises:

  • The first four digits is NYSC, the abbreviation of National Youth Service Corps.
  • The second three digits are the acronym of the corps member’s university or polytechnic.
  • The next four digits is the year you registered for your service.
  • The last digits is your own unique number.

For example, a student of the University of Nigeria (UNN) going for youth service may have NYSC/UNN/2024/345987 as an NYSC call up number.

A student of Imo State University (IMSU) going for youth service may have NYSC/ISU/2024/098726 as an NYSC call up number.

It usually takes about 1 – 3 weeks to get your NYSC call-up number online after you have completed your registration.

It may take longer if there are any problems with your registration or if there is a high volume of registrations.

The NYSC call-up number is used to identify corps members during their service year.

It is also used to generate the corps member’s NYSC certificate.

You can find your NYSC call-up number on your NYSC call-up letter, green card, and NYSC certificate.
