NYSC Registration

NYSC registration is the next step to take after confidently checking and seeing your name in the senate list.

This is when every prospective corps member whose names appeared on the NYSC mobilization list will register on the NYSC portal.

Each NYSC batches and streams, the NYSC portal is always open for the commencement of NYSC online registration.

There is always a date in the NYSC timetable that will specify the duration of the NYSC online registration and when it will end.

The NYSC management has announced that online registration for Batch A Stream 2 begins 25^th March, 2024 and ends on 31^st March, 2024.

NYSC registration will last for 7 days and prospective corps members will have to fill in and submit the registration form online with their details.

How Much is NYSC Registration Payment?

• Beware of NYSC online registration scam and don’t let anyone take an advantage of you. During every registration, there are always different methods hungry people will use to extort you. Be careful.
• You will need to pay about ₦4,000 – ₦5,500 (including cyber cafe charges) for NYSC registration. You should only pay this money on the NYSC official website if you want to print your green card (containing your call-up number) and COVID slip within 24 hours after registration. 
• NYSC registration is not first come first serve. Because you register on the first day doesn’t mean you will be deployed to Lagos or Abuja.
• Provide full and honest information during the NYSC registration. If there is an information you can’t remember, you can always make confirmation before you proceed with your registration.

• Graduates who finished from institutions outside Nigeria are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload their documents.

How to Register for NYSC

Follow these steps to register online on the NYSC portal:

• Visit NYSC portal and create an account with your functional email address.
• Activate your newly created account by clicking on the activation link sent to your email address supplied during account creation.
• Login your dashboard and fill the bio-data form.
• Thumbprint and capture biometric. 
• Upload clear off white background passport photograph.
• Upload your scanned signature.
• Preview your registration form to ensure the details are correct.
• Agree with the registration terms and conditions.
• Click on submit.
• Make payment.
• Keep your login details for subsequent use.
• Print out your green card and COVID slip within 24 hours after submission and payment.

How to Upload Document on NYSC Portal

Here are the steps to upload documents on the NYSC portal:

• Log in the NYSC portal using your e-mail address and password.
• Hover to the “Certificate Upload” page.
• Click the “Add New Document” button below.
• Select the file you want to upload from your computer and click the “Upload” button.
• The document will upload to your account, and you can view it whenever you want.

1. Marital Ground

This is for married female prospective corps members who want to be posted to her husband’s state of domicile.

Such prospective corps members should login to their dashboard and upload these documents during online registration:

• Copies of her marriage certificate.
• Evidence of change of name and husband’s place of domicile during registration.
• Husband’s means of identification (Driving License, National ID card).

2. Health Ground

Prospective corps members with serious health challenge should show their true health status during registration to enable concessional deployment for them.

Such prospective corps members should login to their dashboard and upload these documents during online registration:

• Medical report from federal or state general hospitals.
• Doctor’s details.

Note that those who want to relocate from their current state of deployment to their husband’s state of domicile should apply with these documents attached.

• Marriage certificate.
• Newspaper publication for change of name.
• Letter from husband employer.
• Husband means of identification.

Do I Need to Register on NYSC Portal as a Part-Time Graduate?

Part-time graduates are to register when the NYSC registration portal opens to enable them to print their exclusion letter on their dashboard.

NYSC Batch A Stream 2 2024 Registration

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the online registration for Batch A, Stream 2 2024 will begin on March 25, 2024 and end on March 31, 2024.

To register, prospective corps members (PCMs) should visit the NYSC portal and create an account if they don’t have one already.

Once they are logged in, click on the “Fresh Registration” link to begin the registration process.

PCMs will need to provide this information during registration:

• Personal details, such as name, date of birth, and gender.
• Contact information, such as email address and phone number.
• Academic details, such as institution attended, course of study, and date of graduation.
• NYSC mobilization details, such as batch and stream.

PCMs will also need to upload scanned copies of these documents:

• Passport photograph
• Signature
• Degree certificate

Once PCMs have submitted their registration forms and uploaded all required documents, they will need to pay a registration fee of ₦4,000.

Payment can be made online using a debit or credit card, or at any bank branch in Nigeria.

After successful payment, PCMs will print out their NYSC registration slip.

Keep this slip safe, as it will be required for you to take part in the NYSC orientation course.

Here are tips for the NYSC Batch A Stream 2 2024 registration:

• NYSC portal is open for foreign trained graduates and part-time graduates.
• If you are registering for the first time, click on a fresh registration link.
• If you were deployed previously and did not report to the orientation camp, click on the revalidation link to re-validate.
• If you have registered previously and did not complete your registration, click “Login Here” to continue your registration with your username and password.
• Allow no one to thumb print for you. Do the biometric verification by yourself.
• Do not register by PROXY. 
• Never enter false information. Make sure all your details are correct.
• Never present fake documents. You can be arrested or embarrassed.
• Upload a clear passport photograph. Do not upload passport photograph putting on NYSC crested vest. Passport photograph cannot be changed after camp registration.
• PCMs who have name correction request (addition or removal of name) to be processed by the institution should apply on their dashboard and spelling errors and rearrangement.
• Date of birth, date of graduation and course of study will be on the certificate of national service and exemption certificate.
• Apply for date of birth correction on your dashboard. Note that you cannot correct your date of birth after camp registration.
• Preview records entered before submission to avoid errors.
• Once the NYSC online registration deadline expired, the portal will be closed for registration.
• Make sure you have all the required documents before you start the registration process.
• Upload clear and legible copies of your documents.
• Pay your registration fee as soon as possible to avoid missing the deadline.
• Keep your NYSC registration slip safe.

NYSC Registration Steps for Foreign Trained Graduates

Here are the basic registration requirements and steps for foreign (international) trained graduates on NYSC portal:

• Read the requirements for foreign trained graduates mobilization process.
• Visit portal.nysc.org.ng to register.
• Upload all original documents as required online. Failure to comply means you will not be evaluated.
• Do not create multiple accounts.
• Note that SSCE result uploaded must be equal to or greater than four (4) years.
• Contact the Federal Ministry of Education Abuja, if your institution of study has not been evaluated to get an evaluation letter.
• The Federal Ministry of Education has a portal for request of letter of evaluation. For institutions in Benin Republic, the institution process it for them.
• Select a centre and date for pre-camp physical verification during online registration and adhere to the selected centre and date strictly.
• All foreign-trained graduates must physically present themselves for pre-camp verification after they must have successfully registered online, alongside with original copies of their degree certificates, transcript and travel documents.
• You are to print your clearance slip after you have been successfully verified and present the same for registration at the various camps of deployment.
• If you are exempted from service, you will be notified when to collect your exemption certificate on your dashboard at the NYSC NDHQ, Abuja.
• Those excluded from service will print their exclusion letter on their dashboard online.

Date of Birth Correction with NYSC

It is very easy to correct your date of birth during NYSC registration.

The National Youth Service Corps gives room for correction of date of birth by prospective corps members that made mistakes while registering online.

Here are the steps for date of birth correction on the NYSC portal:

• Apply for date of birth correction on your dashboard with WAEC. You can get the WAEC Verification PIN in any First Bank branch.
• The DOB link is active on your dashboard during online registration. Ensure you make use of it appropriately.
• The WAEC certificate must be equal to or over four (4) years as at the time of graduation.
• Do not use another person’s WAEC detail to apply, it will be disapproved.
• Ensure there is no disparity of names on your WAEC and that of your dashboard.
• A notification will be sent to your mail when your application has been processed.
• You are expected to login and check your mobilization status on your dashboard.
• If your status did not change, it means you are still exempted and your exemption certificate will be processed.
• Go to your institution after three (3) months and collect your exemption certificate.
• Note that the date of birth is written on the certificate of national service and exemption certificate.
• You cannot apply for DOB correction after camp registration.

Correction of Date of Graduation of PCMs who are wrongly Exempted 

Here are the steps for correction of date of graduation after your exemption certificate has been printed by NYSC:

• Go to your institution to collect the original NYSC exemption certificate and complain to the student affairs officer.
• Your student affairs officer will then write a letter duly signed and forward to NYSC headquarters stating your correct date of graduation for processing.
• Your student affairs officer will return the NYSC original exemption certificate.
• NYSC will enable you to re-validate when the online registration portal opens.

How Do I Collect My Exemption Certificate?

Locally trained graduates who are exempted from service should make sure they collect their exemption certificate on time from their institutions. NYSC will only allow corrections within three (3) months from online registration.

While foreign graduates come to the NYSC Headquarters with their original documents for clearance and collection of their exemption certificate.

Do I Need to Go to Camp with my Documents as a Foreign Graduate?

Foreign graduate’s prospective corps members who registered online must go to camp with all original documents as uploaded online and translated version of your certificate.

Ensure you are verified by the verification officer before leaving the camp on any grounds.

Failure to comply leads to cancellation of registration and you will not be posted to the place of primary assignment.

Do I Need to Go to Camp with My Practice License as Medical Graduate?

Prospective corps members who are in the medical profession should come with their licenses to the orientation camp.
