Universities That Accept Second Choice
If you do not meet the cut-off mark for your first choice university, you can be considered for admission to your second choice university.
This is often done to ensure that all qualified applicants can attend university.
The admission process for second choice universities is usually the same as the process for first choice universities.
You will need to submit your application, academic transcripts, and other required documents.
If you are accepted to your second choice university in Nigeria, you will be required to pay the same tuition and fees as students who were admitted to their first choice university.
All universities that receive second choice applicants will admit all applicants.
The university will still consider your academic qualifications and other factors when making their decision.
None of Nigeria’s top federally and state-owned universities receive applications from applicants who weren’t the first choice.
This results from universities’ competitive nature and strict admission process.
These universities only admit students who meet the required cut-off marks, and there is no room for second choice applicants.
Second-choice applications are not accepted at schools like LASU, DELSU, UI, FUTO, IMSU, UNIDEL, FUTA, UNN, LASPOTECH, UNILAG, FULAFIA, and UNIZIK.
