How to Check NIRSAL Loan with BVN

Here are the steps to check NIRSAL loan approval using the BVN number:

  • Visit the NIRSAL Microfinance Bank (NMFB) website.
  • Navigate to the “Loan” tab, and select the loan type you applied for, including SME or Individual loan.
  • On the loan application status page, enter your BVN in the space provided. Ensure that the BVN you entered is correct to avoid any errors.
  • After entering your BVN, click on “Submit.” The bank will verify your BVN and display your loan application status.
  • After submitting your BVN, the bank will display your NIRSAL loan application status. You will see whether your loan application is still processing, approved, or rejected.

The Agri-Business/Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme is an initiative to support the Federal Government’s efforts and policy measures for the promotion of agricultural businesses and small/medium enterprises (SMEs) as vehicles for sustainable economic development and employment generation.

Here is how it works:

  • Attend compulsory training with a NIRSAL MFB certified Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI).
  • Create an account by clicking on ‘Apply now’ as an applicant, validate your BVN and select a NIRSAL MFB certified Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI).
  • Loans are paid into account of beneficiaries. Unqualified candidates are given feedback.
  • The Entrepreneurship Development Institute assists you to implement business plan and provide business support services commercially.
  • Sell products and services to pay back loan and make a profit.
  • Run your business, keep proper records, monitor sales and expenses to maximize profit and pay back the loan.

To access the loan, visit the onboarding portal and create an account to start the application process, or visit any of the NMFB Certified EDIs to guide.

The interest rate for this loan is currently at five percent (5%) per annum.

This loan scheme does not require a collateral.

Your approved loan amount will be disbursed to your NMFB account.

For the purchase of your equipment(s)/machineries, this will be handled by one of the NMFB’s certified vendors while the working capital will be accessible through your account for withdrawal upon meeting all terms and conditions.
