The WAEC scratch card PIN is a plastic card with a scratch patch on the reverse side of the card.
The PIN is a 10-digit or 12-digit number that is required to access your result.

WAEC Result Scratch Card Checker
Here are the steps to check your WAEC result using the scratch card PIN:
- Purchase the WAEC scratch card.
- Look at the back of the scratch card to see the appropriate WAEC website to check your result.
- Log on to the official WAEC result website.
- Then click on “Check Result” on the website.
- A prompt box appears, which instructs you to enter the Registration Year, Card Serial No and Card PIN, WAEC Examination Number or Seat Number.
- After inputting all this information, click on “Check Result”.

In conclusion, there is no way you can check your WAEC result without a scratch card.
But you can recheck your result without a scratch card after you have at least previously checked it with a scratch card once and have it saved in your mailbox.
Ways to Recover Your WAEC Exam Number
1. Get The WAEC Exam Number from Your Secondary School
The simplest way to get your WAEC examination number is to contact the school where you took the exam.
All you have to do is to:
- Visit the school where you took your WAEC exam.
- Notify the school administration that you have misplaced your examination number.
- Make a token payment.
- The school will look up your information in their records and provide you with your WAEC examination number.
2. Get Your WAEC Exam Number from Accredited WAEC Office
Another alternative is to simply go to the WAEC office in the school’s vicinity where you took the exam and request for your WAEC examination number.
Ensure to write and go with your name, seat number, the name of the school where you sat for the exam, an affidavit from any Nigerian high court.
You can be requested to pay a fee at the WAEC office.
As a result, I recommend you bring at least ₦6,000 with you just in case.
3. Use your School Name plus Seat Number Combination
Because your WAEC examination number is a combination of both the center number and your seat number, this method is helpful if you can recall your seat number and the name of the center where you took your WAEC exams.
If my seat number is 075 and my center number is 4935863, my exam number will be 4935863075.
