Getting started…

NPC Application Status

The National Population Commission (NPC) is a federal government agency in Nigeria responsible for collecting, collating, analyzing and publishing data about the Nigerian people and the economy.

The NPC was established by the National Population Commission Act of 1988.

The headquarters of the NPC is in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

The NPC has the following functions:

  • To conduct a census of the population of Nigeria every ten years.
  • To maintain a register of births and deaths.
  • To collect and analyze data on migration, education, health, and other socio-economic indicators.
  • To publish data and information on the population of Nigeria.
  • To advise the government on population matters.

The NPC is headed by a chairman who is appointed by the president of Nigeria.

How to Check NPC Application Status

To check your NPC application status online, follow these steps:

  • Visit the NPC website.
  • Locate the “Check Application Status” button on the homepage of the website and click on it to proceed.
  • A pop-up box will appear on the screen. Enter your NPC application code into the provided field.
  • Click on the “PROCEED” button to submit your code and start the application status check.
  • The website will process your request and display the status of your application. If your application as an NPC facilitator or enumerator has been accepted, you will see the message “Application status is approved.”

Your application status will be displayed on the screen.

The statuses are:

  • Pending: Your application is still being processed.
  • Approved: Your application has been approved.
  • Rejected: Your application has been rejected.
  • Not qualified: You do not meet the eligibility criteria for the position.

If your application status is “Pending”, wait for the NPC to process your application.

If your application status is “Approved”, you will be contacted by the NPC for further information.

If your application status is “Rejected” or “Not qualified”, you will not be considered for the position.

NPC Application Status Showing Pending

Here are the reasons your NPC application status is showing pending:

1. Your application is still being processed.

The NPC may still review your application and has not yet decided.

This is the most common reason for a pending application status.

2. There is a problem with your application.

The NPC may have found an error in your application, such as missing document or incorrect information.

You will need to correct the error and resubmit your application.

3. You have not met the eligibility criteria.

You may not meet the eligibility criteria for the position you applied for.

The NPC will not approve your application if you do not meet the eligibility criteria.

4. You have been rejected.

The NPC may have rejected your application for other reasons, such as not having enough experience or not being a good fit for the position.

NPC Application Code

The NPC application code is a unique identifier that is assigned to each applicant for the 2024 Census Ad-hoc Staff recruitment.

It is used to track the application process and to identify applicants.

The NPC application code is usually a combination of letters and numbers.

It is generated by the NPC system and is not something that the applicant can choose.

The NPC application code is not the same as your NIN.

You cannot change your NPC application code.

The NPC application code is important because it is used to:

  • Register for the recruitment process.
  • Track the application process.
  • Identify applicants.
  • Communicate with applicants.

If you have applied for the 2024 Census Ad-hoc Staff recruitment, keep your NPC application code safe.

You will need it to login to the recruitment portal and to track your application status.

If you lose your NPC application code, contact the NPC customer service for help.
