About Survivor South Africa

Survivor South Africa is a South African reality game show based on the popular international survivor format.

As in all versions of the show, it features a group of strangers who are marooned in an isolated location, where they must provide food, water, fire and shelter for themselves.

The contestants will compete in challenges to earn either a reward or an immunity from elimination.

The contestants will be progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted-off by their fellow contestants until only one remains and is given the title “Ultimate Survivor”.

Survivor South Africa Host

To make the program stand lively, the organizer of the program will engage a host.

As a contestant or viewer, expect to see Nico Panagio serving as a host of Survivor South Africa.

Format

Survivor SA follows the same general format as the other editions of Survivor.

To begin, the players are split into two or three tribes, are taken to a remote isolated location and are forced to live off the land with meagre supplies for a period of several weeks.

Frequent physical and mental challenges are used to pit the tribes against each other for rewards, such as food or luxuries, or for immunity, forcing the other tribe to attend Tribal Council, where they must vote one of their tribe mates out of the game by secret ballot.

About halfway through the game, the tribes are merged into a single tribe, and challenges are individually; winning immunity prevents that player from being voted out.

Most players that are voted out during this stage become members of the Tribal Council Jury. When only two or three players remain, the Final Tribal Council is held.

The finalists plead their case to the Jury why they should win the game.

The jurors then interrogate the finalists before casting their vote, for which finalists should be awarded the title of “Ultimate Survivor” and win the grand prize of R1 Million.

Survivor South Africa Registration Requirements 

Here are the eligibility requirements to audition for Survivor South Africa.

• Contestants must be 18 years old or older.
• You must be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa and in possession of a valid South African ID document.
• Have the personality, and the determination to remain standing in the harshest of circumstances.
• Have an active mobile phone number.
• Have an active email address where you can receive messages for the audition.
• You must accurately complete all documents provided by the Producer, any of the other Program Entities, or any other entity providing services to the Program.
• If you are short-listed, consent must be given to the Producers to conduct background, criminal and psychometric checks. You understand that consenting to these checks is no guarantee of being chosen to participate.
• If the Producers shortlisted you, be prepared to undergo psychological and medical screenings.

• Save the current self-picture and video for your computer, so it is ready when you apply online.

It’s finally here, with four episodes a week! Survivor SA starts on 15^th July, 2024.

Survivor South Africa Season 10 will premiere on M-Net (18:00, Monday – Thursday).

The online entry process will require the completion of a personal profile, a few brief questions, and a video.
