The School is known for its outstanding performance and proper grooming of midwives.
The Proprietor through the help of the then Anambra State Government, rebuilt the school structure to accommodate both Schools of Nursing and Midwifery including their hostels to enable the institution move into the reformation, that brought about College of Nursing Sciences, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Adazi – Nnukwu.
The schools are now known as College of Nursing Sciences, St Joseph’s Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu, Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria.
The College runs both Nursing and Basic Midwifery, respectively.
Basic Nursing / Basic Midwifery Requirements
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in WAEC, NECO and/or NABTEB.
- Combination of WAEC/WAEC, NECO/NECO, WAEC/NECO is acceptable.
- If the candidate will use NABTEB, she must have all the required 5 credits in it.
- Original WAEC/NECO or NABTEB Certificate or computer printout.
- Awaiting result is not accepted.
- Testimonial to be obtained from the school you obtained your WAEC/NECO.
- Birth certificate from National Population commission or Government Hospital or/Declaration of Age from Court.
- Active and functional personal email.
- Pay a non-refundable sum of fifteen thousand, four hundred naira only (₦15,400) into the School bank account.
Post Basic Nursing Requirements
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in WAEC, NECO and/or NABTEB.
- Combination of WAEC/WAEC, NECO/NECO, WAEC/NECO is acceptable.
- NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO or another NABTEB.
- If the candidate will use NABTEB, he/she must have all the required 5 credits in it.
- Original WAEC/NECO or NABTEB Certificate or computer printout.
- Awaiting result is not accepted.
- Testimonial to be obtained from the school you obtained your WAEC/NECO.
- Birth certificate from National Population commission or Government Hospital or/Declaration of Age from Court.
- Candidates must have undergone a three years Basic Midwifery or Psychiatric Nursing program and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Midwife or a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Valid Practicing License.
- Must have at least One (1) Year Post Clinical Experience in the relevant area.
- Active and functional personal email.
- Pay a non-refundable sum of twenty thousand, four hundred naira only (₦20,400) into the School bank account.
