ALAT By Wema Sign Up

Here are the steps to sign up on ALAT digital bank:

Start by installing ALAT on your phone or tablet from Google Play or the iOS App Store or even from the website.

Once you have done that, answer a few questions about yourself.

Your account is successfully registered.

To complete your sign up, type in your email address and set a new password (a good password is a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols), pick a security question, and provide an answer you’ll remember easily.

That’s it! Congratulations, you can now use your ALAT account.

ALAT for Business Login

To login to ALAT for business, follow these steps:

  • Go to the ALAT for Business login page.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • If you have forgotten your username or password, click on the “Forgot Username or Password?” link.
  • Enter your security question and answer.
  • Click on the “Sign in” button.

Keep these in mind when logging into ALAT for business:

  • Your username is the email address that you used to register for ALAT for business.
  • Your password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
  • You can reset your password if you forget it.
  • If you are logging in from a new device, you will be asked to enter a one-time password (OTP) that will be sent to your registered mobile phone number.

Download ALAT By Wema

Here are the steps to download ALAT By Wema app:

  • Go to the Google Play Store (for Android phones) or the iOS App Store (for iPhones).
  • Search for “ALAT By Wema”.
  • Tap on the “Install” button.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
  • Once the app is installed, it and sign up for an account.
  • You can also sign up for an account on the ALAT website.

How to Activate ALAT Account

To activate your ALAT account, follow these steps:

  • Download the ALAT app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  • Open the app and create an account by providing your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth.
  • Set up your PIN and a security question.
  • Receive a one-time password (OTP) on your phone.
  • Enter the OTP in the app to activate your account.
  • Once your account is activated, start using it to make payments, transfer money, and more.

Here are the steps on how to activate your ALAT account using the USSD code:

  • Dial *945# on your phone.
  • Select the option to activate your account.
  • Enter your mobile phone number and your date of birth.
  • Enter the OTP that you received on your phone.
  • Your account will be activated.

How to Check ALAT Account Number

Here are the ways to check your ALAT account number:

1. Using the ALAT app

  • Open the ALAT app.
  • Tap on the “Profile” tab.
  • Your account number will be displayed under the “Account Details” section.

2. Using the ALAT USSD code

  • Dial *945# on your phone.
  • Select the option to check your account balance.
  • Enter your mobile phone number and your PIN.
  • Your account number will be displayed.

3. Internet Banking

  • Go to the Wema Bank internet banking website.
  • Enter your username and password.
  • Click on the “Account Summary” tab.
  • Your account number will be displayed.

4. Contacting Wema Bank Customer Service

If you have forgotten your ALAT account number, contact Wema Bank customer service.

They will provide you with your account number over the phone.

ALAT Virtual Dollar Card

A virtual card is a digital card used for online payments or purchases and that you can easily create by yourself on your phone via your ALAT App.

The ALAT virtual card is an instant and non-physical card issued via our app or the internet banking platform.

Create your virtual Naira card or virtual dollar card and load it with cash.

It’s a secure way to use funds electronically and this means that you don’t have to carry actual cards with you.

You need to move money into your virtual card in order to use it.

You do not need to activate the card before use.

Once you create it and fund it with money, you can start using it.

Your card can be used for online purchases and payments only.

ALAT virtual cards can shop online, pay for bills, pay for subscriptions like Netflix, Spotify, Apple Music, DStv/GOtv, AliExpress, etc.

The card is not linked to your primary account.

A separate account is created for the card, hence the reason to add to the card from your primary account.

Your maximum balance represents the maximum amount that can be stored on your card.

Your maximum balance cannot exceed ₦500,000.

Before you block your virtual card, kindle make sure you move the money inside it back to your primary account and then follow these steps:

  • Sign-in to your ALAT app
  • Click on cards
  • Select ALAT Virtual Cards
  • Then select either Naira virtual card or Dollar virtual card depending on the one you’ve created
  • Enter your 4 digits PIN
  • Click on Card details
  • Then Click on Hotlist Card.
  • Confirm your selection by clicking on Proceed.

Congratulations, your virtual card has now been blocked.

ALAT By Wema USSD Code

The ALAT By Wema USSD code is *945#.

You can use this code to perform a variety of banking transactions, including:

  • Account Management
  • Cardless Transactions
  • State Collections
  • School and Exam Purposes
  • Payment of Electricity Bill and Internet Services
  • Airtime, Data and Transfer Transactions
  • Loan Application

To make use of this USSD code, have an account with ALAT.

Then register and activate the code on your phone.

To activate this code:

  • Dial *945# on the mobile line that is connected to your bank account. If the number presently used is not connected to your account, you would have to go to the bank to update your details.
  • After dialing, follow the prompts and choose the options suited to you.
  • Choose the account you want to make transactions from.
  • Select a confidential PIN and confirm it.

Loan

You can request for loans on ALAT using the USSD code.

The only condition attached is that you must be an ALAT customer.

To apply for a loan from ALAT via USSD, dial *945*100# on your phone and follow the prompts that pop up.

It’s that simple.

Reasons your ALAT Account is Debit Restricted

Here are the reasons your ALAT account is showing debit restricted:

  • You have exceeded your daily withdrawal limit. Each ALAT account has a daily withdrawal limit. If you have exceeded this limit, your account will be debit restricted until the next day.
  • You have made a suspicious transaction. Wema Bank has a system in place to detect suspicious transactions. If your account is flagged for a suspicious transaction, your account may be debit restricted as a security measure.
  • Your account is inactive. If you have not used your ALAT account in a while, it may be inactive. Inactive accounts are debit restricted to prevent fraud.
  • Your account is frozen. If your account has been frozen by Wema Bank, you cannot make any transactions. This may be because of several reasons, such as a pending investigation or a court order.
  • Network issues. Sometimes, debit restrictions can be caused by network issues. If you are experiencing debit restrictions, try restarting your device or logging out and logging back into your ALAT account.

To unblock your ALAT account, check your email for notifications from Wema Bank.

The bank may have sent you an email explaining why your account is restricted and what you need to do to unblock it.

If you did not receive an email from Wema Bank, contact customer service.

They will tell you why your account is restricted and how to unblock it.
