NABTEB

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board, popularly known as NABTEB, is a Nigerian examination board that is conducting examinations for technical and business innovation colleges in Nigeria.

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board were established in 1992 to domesticate the examinations which were being conducted by the London Royal Society of Arts (RSA), City and Guild (C&G) of London and the West African Examinations Council’s technical and business examinations to domesticate the examinations and tailor them towards the needs of the Nigerian society by the National Policy on Education.

The establishment of the board came because of over 15 years of battle for the establishment from 1977 to 1992, and four government panels were set up at different times to review the position and structure of public examinations in Nigeria’s educational system.

NABTEB was the first Federal organization to offer subsidized registrations to academic candidates in Nigeria.

The National Headquarters of NABTEB is in Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, Edo State.

NABTEB Zonal Offices are in the Headquarters of the six geographical zones with state offices in the spread capital of the 6 states of the federation.

NABTEB Portal

The NABTEB portal is a website that provides access to a variety of services for candidates and stakeholders.

These services include:

  • Registration for examinations.
  • Payment of examination fees.
  • Checking of results.
  • Downloading of examination materials.
  • Complaints and feedback.

The NABTEB portal is a secure and convenient way for candidates and stakeholders to access NABTEB services.

The portal is easy to use and can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection.

Create an account and login to the portal in order to use the services.

NABTEB Online Registration 2024

Here are the steps to register online for the NABTEB November/December examination:

  • Get a copy of NABTEB Biometric Data Capture Application from nearest NABTEB office.
  • Supply the correct name and passport/registration card alongside PIN and SERIAL when doing the Biometric Data Capture.
  • On successful Biometric Data Capture, proceed to the online registration portal to complete the registration exercise. Note that the portal will not allow you to register online without first doing the biometric data capture.
  • Fill the form displayed accordingly and submit.
  • Print the photocard and registration completion and keep it in a safe place.

Here are the steps to register online for the NABTEB May/June examination:

  • Make sure your passport is 160px by 200px and size is less than 30kb.
  • Visit the online registration portal.
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ link.
  • Fill in the PIN, and serial number gotten from the purchased scratch card.
  • Fill the form displayed and submit it.
  • Write your candidate number in a safe place.

Do not use a card that has already been used by another candidate.

Do not enter an invalid e-mail address for result to be sent as this will penalize you by deducting your card use.

NABTEB Timetable 2024

The 2024 NABTEB Timetable is:

1. May/June Examinations

  • Registration: February 9, 2024 – March 6, 2024.
  • Examinations: May 16, 2024 – June 24, 2024.

2. November/December Examinations

  • Registration: August 5, 2024 – September 6, 2024.
  • Examinations: November 18, 2024 – December 21, 2024.

The exact dates of the examinations will be announced by NABTEB in due course.

Courses to Study with NABTEB Result

You can study a variety of courses with NABTEB result, both in Nigeria and abroad.

The courses you can study with NABTEB result include:

  • Business courses like accounting, business administration, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
  • Technical courses like computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering.

NABTEB Subjects

2. Trade Related Subjects

These subjects are specific to a particular trade or occupation.

NABTEB also offers several optional subjects that students can choose to take.

  • Business Studies.
  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

NABTEB Advanced Level (A Level)

NABTEB Advanced Level (A Level) is an examination offered by the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) for students who have completed their Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent.

NABTEB A Level is a two-year programme that can be taken in either full-time or part-time mode.

Students who successfully complete the NABTEB A Level programme are awarded a certificate that is recognized by many universities and polytechnics in Nigeria.

The certificate can also be used to apply for admission to some foundation programmes in the UK and the US.

NABTEB A Level is a challenging programme, but it can be a valuable qualification for students who want to pursue a career in business, engineering, or other technical fields.
