NABTEB Result Acceptance by JAMB

JAMB, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, does not accept NABTEB A’level results for direct entry into universities in Nigeria.

This is because NABTEB A’level is not considered equivalent to the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (A-Level) which is the standard for direct entry into universities in Nigeria.

However, JAMB accepts NABTEB National Technical Certificate (NTC) and NABTEB Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC) for direct entry into universities in Nigeria.

NTC is equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or GCE Ordinary Level (O-Level) while ANTC is equivalent to the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in relevant technical areas.

If you have a NABTEB A’level result, still use it to apply for admission to universities in Nigeria, but you will need to take the UTME (University Matriculation Examination) and meet the minimum cut-off mark for the university you want to attend.
